Dutch Born Jan van der Lande started out with a single vase from a designer friend from Amsterdam in 1988. Kikkerland Design's development took a new direction when Jan met Chio Bicalho who had recently invented the Critter Wind-up, which was selling a hand made version to Mxyplyzyk's in New York. This item range would lay the groundwork for the Kikkerland's philosophy: Humor, charm, added value and affordability.
